Originally posted on Reddit, we also pose the question, was there magic? Now clearly there most likely there was a Gandalf (not matter how much we dream) and I am not talking about card tricks. Are there any document cases of sorcery being implemented? Sure, but the interesting thing to me is not the story of people using magic to mask their misunderstanding on how the world works. Rather, i find the way people want to believe in magic to be fascinating. And this need for the supernatural dicates history itself.
Heinrich Himmler, the head of the Nazi SS, made a secret mission to an abbey in Spain in search of what he believed was the Holy Grail. Yes, that's right. The plot of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is based on reality. But enough about the professor! What do you think? Any great moment of magic throughout history that you know? Comment away, scholars!

I am quite literally floored by some card magicians. As far as I know the have sold their souls to the devil for their sorcery.

Ryan LancasterThe internet is a scary place. You don't know who to trust when it comes to information sometimes, especially when it involves history. Well weary traveler, look no further. Professor Lancaster has got you covered. After receiving my masters in American history, I wanted to put that rather expensive piece of paper to use and create a curriculum of my choosing to inform the unwashed masses of their history. Also, I want to be an internet celebrity. Archives
